The latest version of Apple’s software has a glaring hole in it: You can log in with just the username "root." It turns out you don't need a password to log in to a locked Apple device using MacOS High Sierra -- just the username "root." By heading to your device's System Preferences, under Users & Groups, you can click on the lock and get hit with a prompt asking for a username and password to change settings. Then, instead of entering a password, you can type in "root" for the username and leave the password field empty. The  OnePlus   5 is a  great   smartphone . It's one of my favourite phones in  2017. But it's far from perfect in 2017. when the world is moving to bezel less design. After a plethora of strange bugs found in iOS 11 like making media playback stutter , breaking audio control on the lock screen , and  autocorrecting the word "I" to an unrecognizable character , now the Calculator app has come with its super weirdo embarrassing bugs. For many users, the Calculator app on iOS 11.1 is so slow that it doesn't take button presses properly. For example, as tech blog Select All points out , if you type 1+2+3=, your answer will be 24, not 6. That's because the calculator doesn't register the + fast enough, so it reads your input as 1+23. To avoid this in Calculator, you have to type very slowly. So, dont use it. Until Apple fixes this, try other calculator apps instead.

After a brief trial, Twitter is officially rolling out 280-character tweets to everyone starting today. You should be able to tweet out double the amount starting now using both Twitter's website as well as its mobile app. Twitter originally test-drove the feature with a small group of users this September. During the trial, it was looking to see how the longer tweet length affected how and when people tweeted. In a blog post announcing the update , Product Manager Aliza Rosen commented that the goal was to give people more characters to tweet with while ensuring that it kept the "speed and brevity that makes Twitter, Twitter." After looking at the data, it found that even people who had the 280-character limit more often than not still tweeted under 140 characters. The longer length was only used when it was needed, and according to Twitter, made people tweet more easily and more often.
