Installing custom ROMs for your smartphone

Devices like the Nexus, Google Pixel come with pure stock Android while some other manufacrurers have their own modified OS. E.g. Xiaomi devices with MI UI and Lenovo devices with Vibe UI. These manufacturers have their own responsibilty for updates, bug fixes and lots more.

At the other side they include their bloatware in the device which sometimes proves unneccessary. Talking of updates manufacrurers mostly forget about the older models and dont roll out any update for them.

But if you have your own desired ROM, all you get at a snap.

Custom ROMs like CyanogenMod, Lineage OS, Ressurection Remix etc. have always been praised very much by reviewers not only because they are free of bloatwares but also for their extra functionality. Also some of them provide OTA updates for easy upgradation.

So go ahead. Find a custom ROM for your device now. But be careful while choosing one, because the ROM must match your device model or else there is a risk of bricking your phone which will be potentially unusable.
